Story

The artisan story

Trained in traditional arts, she wrote her thesis on Safavid miniature pigments. Recovering an authentic lapis blue took her three years of experiments with chemistry masters. Her studio now produces exhibition panels and teaches miniature painting to women heading households.

A thoroughly satisfying purchase

Seeing the artisan's share itemised on the invoice meant a lot; it gave me confidence in the purchase.
