Story

The artisan story

She began by mixing glazes in her father's workshop and spent her nights copying the tilework of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. Enamel, she says, demands patience: each colour must come alive in the kiln before the next is applied. She has since trained six women apprentices and opened Isfahan's first export line of enamelled tableware to Europe.
