To keep the metal workable, the piece was heated and cooled repeatedly so it would not crack. The work took ۲۸ working days plus several polishing stages. The مسی و فیروزهای tone comes straight from working the metal; there is no industrial plating. At ۲۲ × ۱۲ سانتیمتر with balanced weight, the piece is both useful and display-worthy.
故事
استاد محمدحسین ایمانی comes from the coppersmiths' and silversmiths' row of اصفهان, and this piece is their own handwork. They prepare wire, sheet and alloy themselves, which is why every piece carries a different weight and ring. To reach the اسلیمی با مینا motif, several trial pieces and refinements were needed. The work took ۲۸ working days and ends with a felt-cloth polish. The artisan also trains young apprentices so the technique survives in the region.
Store silver in an anti-tarnish pouch away from sulphur sources such as eggs and onions. Clean raised engraving with a soft brush, never a wire brush, to keep the lines crisp. Restore copper shine with copper paste or lemon and salt, drying immediately.

A thoroughly satisfying purchase
Seeing the artisan's share itemised on the invoice meant a lot; it gave me confidence in the purchase.
