Making the piece took ۳۵ working days across bisque firing, glazing and the final firing. At ۳۲ × ۱۶ سانتی‌متر and with a reassuring weight, it is meant for everyday use. The surface is deliberately left slightly irregular so the wheel and the maker's hand remain visible. The base carries the workshop stamp and piece code and ships with a certificate of authenticity.

The story

Part of the research behind the work went into recreating historic glazes and lost Iranian ceramic colours. The piece took ۳۵ working days and passed a glaze and crack inspection before approval. The studio hosts visitors and ceramics students, so teaching is part of the daily routine. Each piece is signed by hand, making the small differences between versions part of its value. Dust tile panels dry and fix them with acid-free adhesive. Wash handmade ceramics with warm water and mild soap; avoid the dishwasher. Sudden temperature changes — fridge straight to oven — can craze the glaze.
