The شمسهٔ مرکزی design is executed with precise cutting and setting of coloured wood slivers. The surface is finished with natural oil and beeswax so the grain can breathe. The work took ۱۱۰ working days and was sanded and finished entirely by hand. At ۵۵ × ۵۵ × ۵۰ سانتیمتر and with the warmth of timber, it suits contemporary interiors.
故事
استاد اسدالله مرادی works timber in فارس (شیراز) and sources the material from managed forests. Before cutting, the stock rests for months so it can lose its moisture. This piece took ۱۱۰ working days and its design was revised on paper several times. The maker avoids illegal timber and synthetic dyes, which is why every finish is natural. Off-cuts from the studio become small objects and wooden toys.
Keep the piece out of direct sun and away from radiators. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Feed the wood with natural oil or beeswax every six months to prevent cracking.
