The خانه‌آرایی خاتم geometry rearranges itself as you walk around the object. The قهوه‌ای، صدفی و ابریشم tones are entirely natural — no synthetic dye touches the wood. At ۴۵ × ۴۵ سانتی‌متر, it is light enough to handle and move safely. Making it took ۷۵ working days and finished with a natural polish.

故事

استاد حسین علوی learned khatam in the family workshop as a child, and this piece comes from his own archive of drawings. To restore missing stars of an old object he has spent weeks researching museum drawings. His workshop took root in اصفهان, where the smell of jujube wood and the fret-saw define the neighbourhood. The piece took ۷۵ working days, with every gluing and polishing stage logged. Each object is signed with a coloured sliver set into a corner.

Never soak the surface — water seeps between the glued layers. Polish khatam with alcohol-free liquid polish and a soft cloth. Avoid extremely dry or damp rooms; humidity swings make the woods move.
